meet the coaches

  • Hi there!

    I am Edgar

If from the west, I am called Eddie, but if you reside in the East, I am more known as Ed! I am the Director at SR Strength Collective and also the head of physique and nutrition coaching.

My fitness journey began when I was 15 - where I was introduced to the weights room in our secondary school’s PE program. From then on I have dedicated my studies towards fitness and exercise where I graduated with a Bachelors of Exercise Science in 2018, and then completed my honours on assessing a range of biomechanical equipment used in clinical/sporting settings. In the meantime, I have maintained coaching where I am (and still) exposed to a breadth of clients, from gen-pop, rehab and to powerlifters and bodybuilders where my extracurriculars involve competing in both bodybuilding and powerlifting at the national level. My future goal is to be able to complete my PhD in Disordered Eating alongside growing SRSC! However, that will be on hold as I am following my true passion for now which is coaching!

The greatest reward being in this industry is seeing clients:

1.) Put in effort and hard work towards their fitness goals

2.) Realize that the ‘effort and hard work’ that stem from training is transferable in other facets of life

3.) Pay gratitude to strength training and hold it dearer, as something more than just ‘lifting heavier’ or ‘lifting for aesthetics’.

You will see me most afternoons/evenings at SR Strength Collective - and if you are game, maybe we can squeeze in a game of chess or two in between your training sessions!

  • Hello there

My name is Daniel, but my friends call me Chunks. I am the Head Powerlifting Coach and one of the personal trainers here at SR Strength Collective.

I started my Journey in Powerlifting around 2017 competing in my first Powerlifting competition in 2019. Before then I was training for years aimlessly not knowing what to do!

I started studying my Bachelors of Exercise science (Sport Practice) around then as well. Learning about the Physical and Psychological components of athletes really got me obsessed with coaching, and because I was already powerlifting, I knew this was the route I wanted to go.

Currently I am a National Powerlifting Athlete, competing under the USAPL in the U110KG class. I have massive aspirations in powerlifting, and am not slowing down anytime soon.

I love to coach people, I love to see people progress in their chosen goals, whether it’s for powerlifting, general fitness/strength or whatever their aims are, I am determined to get them there.

If you want to get strong, fit, jacked, or whatever your goal is, let me know 🙂

  • Hey people

    Names Jaiden AKA Papa Roenin.

I am the Assistant Powerlifting and Physique Coach of SR Strength Collective.

I love all forms of fitness. Starting in Martial arts, then Bodybuilding, Powerlifting and currently learning the frustrating magic of Weightlifting.

I’ve been competing and working in the industry since 2018 and always enjoy how rewarding it is as a carrier and personal pursuit.

Being able to grow and develop myself but also help others grow confidence and achieve their own fitness goals in the gym.

For any aspirations or goals you want to achieve, I’m here to help. 🙂
